We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team, as a Host or Hostess. This position is our first person to meet and greet our members and guests.

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting arriving members and their guests, welcoming them into the establishment and escorting them to the proper seating. This individual is the first impression of a member’s experience at Colleton River Club.

A Day in the Life of a Host or Hostess at Colleton River Club:

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing exceptional service & hospitality to Members and guests.
• Provide a warm welcome and facilitate member seating after they arrive.
• Monitor the open dining sections of the establishment for empty and cleaned tables.
• Estimate and communicate wait times for members. Monitoring the guest waiting list and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
• Responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations, and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
• May take a member’s initial drink order. Depending on volume, Hostess may need to fill the drink order or pass the order along to the responsible Server.
• Maintain an accurate dining room occupancy chart.
• Supports the F&B Team to ensure quality service.
• Reports concerns to F&B Manager to ensure appropriate resolution.
• Maintain an orderly and organized work area.
• Adhere to established rules and regulations of the Club, while working scheduled shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Typical Schedule:

• Wednesday - Sunday
• Wednesday - Saturday, 3:30 PM-10:00 PM and Sunday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Full-time 
• Must have Sunday AM availability (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience preferred in an upscale dining venue, preferably in a private club.
• Professional demeanor
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Able to follow instructions.
• Possess an outstanding attitude and team-centered outlook.
