ABC Supply Co., Inc., is looking for highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join its growing Beloit, Wisconsin-based in-house Legal Department. This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel and will provide essential clerical and administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, helping to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service across the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, document preparation and file management.
- Handle incoming requests to the Legal Department and ensure timely responses or proper routing.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, memos, and basic legal documents.
- Assist with document retrieval, organization, and production in response to discovery requests and subpoenas.
- Manage Department calendars, coordinate meetings, and prepare meeting materials.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, mailing, maintaining Department supplies, and data entry.
- Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education and or paralegal/legal assistant training is a plus.
- Two plus years of administrative, clerical, or office support experience (experience in a legal environment is preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Work Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and properly prioritize pending tasks.
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
- An overall positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics, and an ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Self-motivated and able to work efficiently, either independently or in a team
