Summary

  

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of end-to-end project management and production for direct import, POE, and warehouse orders. This role requires a strong operational foundation to execute orders from allocation through shipping while leading a team of Production Coordinators. As a data-driven leader, you will act as the primary architect for production reporting, transforming raw supply chain data into actionable insights for executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities


Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and support a team of Production Coordinators, providing direction and setting clear priorities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and development plans to ensure productivity and quality standards.
  • Serve as the point person for team training and continual system support.

Production & Delivery Oversight

  • Manage the production process from order allocation through final handover to the customer.
  • Coordinate forwarder handovers for direct import/POE and manage warehouse receipt transfers.
  • Negotiate and establish production schedules with agents and factories to meet customer dates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop reallocation strategies when delivery timelines cannot be met.

Advanced Data & Reporting Management

  • KPI Dashboard Ownership: Develop and maintain production dashboards to track factory on-time performance, lead-time variances, and fulfillment rates.
  • Executive Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly production status reports for the VP of Production, identifying risks and bottlenecks.
  • System Integrity: Monitor and validate all rollouts and replenishments in ERP systems, tracked by factory cargo ready dates and customer shipping windows.
  • Financial Close Support: Ensure all customer orders are accurately shipped and invoiced to support month-end close financial activities.
  • Process Engineering: Act as a key contributor in process refinement and the development of automated reporting tools.

Communication & Operations

  • Act as the main point of contact between agents and internal departments to ensure alignment.
  • Lead weekly order status meetings to ensure departments meet timeline requirements.
  • Provide operational support for preproduction, order execution, and postproduction follow-up.
Requirements

Technical Competencies

  • ERP Mastery: Strong comprehension and expert use of business systems and ERP environments.
  • Advanced Analytics: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and data visualization.
  • Process Refinement: Ability to engineer and refine business processes for better data flow.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • Minimum 3 Years of production and business operations experience in retail/wholesale textile or related industry.
  • Minimum 1 Year of supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record in managing direct import, POE, and warehouse order cycles.

Salary Description
$80,000 Annually
