Description

Summary: This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, such as assembling, welding, and applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the daily work activities of an assigned production team
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Reconcile and approve payroll time sheets bi-weekly
  • Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports as per company policy
  • Oversee and/or conduct training of new and existing employees
  • Fabricate and test thermal products and support hardware
  • Identify materials, both incoming and in-process, as required per material identification and inspection procedures
  • Complete and maintain manufacturing travelers, as required
  • Acts to assure product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Perform in-process and final inspections, as required
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Work as part of the team to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and finished products
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Interprets or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists production workers in solving work problems
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Requirements

• Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Technical and fabrication skill extremely desirable

• Good verbal and written skills essential

• Must portray leadership ability and persuasiveness

• Comfortable using various computer applications

• Prior work supervision or training experience is very desirable

• Innovative mindset and teamwork mentality are crucial

• Authorized to work in the US. US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual (as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) necessary due to ITAR responsibilities
