Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Credential Verification in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by welcoming visitors, verifying credentials, managing access control and badging, and screening people and items entering the facility. You will stay visible, perform routine rounds as assigned, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Screen employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by checking identification, verifying access authorization, and directing individuals through designated entry and exit processes.
  • Conduct security-related screening of bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with location policy, and report prohibited or suspicious items to site management and/or appropriate authorities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, alarms, and/or emergency notifications.
  • Complete routine checks of entry points, staging areas, and perimeter-adjacent areas as assigned, and document observations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
