As a Security Officer Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while assisting shoppers, guests, and staff throughout the property.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document relevant activity in accordance with site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, storefront corridors, and/or high-traffic public areas while assisting with access-related concerns, directions, and general support for guests and staff.
• Support retail location operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
