We are currently seeking a full-time Sr. Financial Specialist in our Rochester, NY office. This position is focused on high level financial support to the firm’s largest Studio as well as assist the Controller with accounting tasks for the month-end and year-end general ledger closings. 

Job Description

  • Studio focused:  SWBR billings and contract management, data entry into billing system, collections, reviewing consultant contracts as well as process invoices, creation and development of project resource plans.
  • Long Range Forecast
  • Participate in Friday morning Workload Meetings
  • Responsible for Expense Report Review and Payments
  • Run monthly Time Analysis and Expected vs Actual reports
  • Support Project Managers and Principals including monthly resource plan update meetings.
  • Accounts Receivable Reporting to Project Managers
  • Assist Controller with the update and completion of various financial reports.
  • Open new project numbers on the J: drive and in VantagePoint
  • Assist in training Finance Specialists
  • This position works primarily in an office setting with moderate to light noise.

Needed Education and Experience

  • Possess an Bachelor’s’ degree (or equivalent professional work experience).
  • Have 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the A/E industry
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills, be a proactive learner, maintain attention to detail and be customer focused, and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office-especially Excel and Word- experience
  • Be a proficient user of CRM systems, with preference to Deltek VantagePoint.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information and materials confidential.
  • This position involves the following physical activities:   sitting, lifting a maximum of 10 pounds, stooping when filing, occasionally reaching, hand and eye coordination and repetitive motion.

Base Salary Information

$68,650 - $83,689

The above salary ranges represent a good faith range for incumbents of these positions. Actual offers will be based on experience, education level, and demonstrated skills and will be at the discretion of the employer.
