This role sits within HP’s Technology and Innovation Organization (TIO), a forward‑looking group driving transformation and innovation across the HP Platform & Print Software portfolio. We are seeking people who are passionate and process‑oriented, ready to help evolve and strengthen our delivery engine, mature operational rhythms, improve portfolio performance, and deliver consistent value.

The Software Portfolio Performance Delivery and Optimization Program Manager is responsible for driving performance action plans to enhance software delivery efficiency, predictability, and impact. This role partners with cross-functional teams to analyze portfolio performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement optimization strategies that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drives portions of the planning and execution of multiple complex technical projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.

  • Develops software roadmaps based on product and technical requirements and business needs.

  • Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.

  • Performs program analysis, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections.

  • Continuously assesses and improves the processes that comprise the software development lifecycle.

  • Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality of highly visible, complex programs.

  • Provides technical  guidance to ensure that solutions meet quality and performance standards.

  • Communicates project status and progress through regular reporting and presentations to stakeholders.

  • Encourages innovation within project teams and facilitate the exploration of new technologies and solutions.

  • Ensures that all stakeholders are aligned towards a common goal by meeting and receiving feedback on an ongoing basis.

Education and experience

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience

  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
