Job Purpose:
This position will assist both Senior and Staff Accountant with AR and AP duties and assist the Accounting Supervisor with collections.
Accounts Receivable:
· Responsible for credit holds, AR requests from Project Managers, Shipping and Customer Service relating to customer accounts
· Responsible for ensuring all invoices and supporting documents are saved in job files
· Responsible for new customer set up: collecting paperwork from customers, credit checks (references and pulling Dun & Bradstreet reports), completing vendor supplier forms and setting up new customer accounts
· Responsible for posting Customer payments and bank transfers
· Assist with processing invoices
Accounts Payable
· Assist with invoicing
· Assist with issuing checks
· Responsible for setting up new vendors accounts in ERP system
Collections
· Make outbound collection calls and/or email correspondence in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
· Document correspondence in ERP system and save necessary documents in customer master file
· Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and maintain documentation to discuss with Supervisor
· Email monthly statements to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
