Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for the management of the P&L statements and overall accounting activities of the company's portfolio.

This position is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Requirements:

• Prepare and review hotel P&L's monthly
• Prepare monthly accruals
• Perform account analysis
• Research and correct accounting discrepancies
• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
• Prepare and adjust journal entries in JD Edwards
• Meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Two Years of Experience in Accounting Microsoft Office Suite Experience Required
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
• ProfitSword and JD Edwards Accounting Software a plus.
• Prepare and adjust journal entries
• Knowledge of posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
• Ability to meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines
• Ability to research and correct account discrepancies
• Ability to reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
