Summer at The Farmer’s Daughter means one thing — our beautiful outdoor terrace comes alive.


If you're the bartender guests ask by name and you love the energy of an outdoor space on a summer night, we want to meet you.


We are seeking experienced, outgoing bartenders to join our team for the outdoor terrace season (approximately mid-April through October). Our terrace is one of the most popular gathering spots on the property — a lively, upscale outdoor space where guests come for sunset cocktails, happy hour, and dinner on warm summer evenings.


This position is ideal for bartenders who enjoy being outdoors, strong guest interaction, on summer shifts. During peak terrace season, our terrace is one of the most exciting areas of the restaurant, offering independence and opportunity for growth for experienced bartenders.

   

  

Position Overview

The Terrace Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming and energetic bar experience while preparing quality beverages and delivering exceptional service in our outdoor dining space.

This role requires strong bartending & serving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  

Schedule & Availability

This is a seasonal position running approximately mid-April through October.

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of two shifts per week.


Typical shift hours:
Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Weekends: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Availability for weekends, holidays, and special events may be required.

   

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine according to approved recipes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
  • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and other bar prep items before service
  • Assess guest preferences and make appropriate food and beverage recommendations
  • Accurately process payments and maintain bar tabs
  • Maintain and ensure proper stock levels during service
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area, equipment, and surrounding workspace
  • Follow all company policies and service standards
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members to ensure smooth service
     
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 2–3 years of bartending experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
  • Must be RAMP certified or willing to obtain RAMP certification
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and service standards
  • Excellent guest interaction and hospitality skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Abide by all laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies and rules
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced outdoor environment


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting during service
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. independently and 50 lbs. with assistance
