Description

Summary of Role

The Administrative Assistant will perform various secretarial, clerical and administrative duties supporting physicians, including acting as a liaison between the physician and the patient. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, accurate administrative support to physicians and staff as needed
  • Maintain and coordinate calendars and physicians schedules for clinical and surgical appointments
  • Educate and communicate patients to provide comprehensive patient care and understanding
  • Answer and reply to phone calls/messages
  • Schedule surgeries
  • Interact daily with employees and management

  • Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments
  • Demonstrate cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied people
  • Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and time-management skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree in business related or equivalent field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of related experience as an assistant to a physician or a high level administrator
  • Experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Experience with Outlook Calendar and Excel
  • Proficient in all standard business software
  • Epic EMR system experience strongly preferred
