JOB SUMMARY:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager (Chef) and is located at The Stables Casino. 


MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Identifies product, mixes, and serves alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Identifies bar needs and communicates them to Manager; sets up, stocks, cleans, maintains, and breaks down work area
  • Maintains a proper, complete, and clean uniform
  • Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the lounge areas
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
  • Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge
  • Ensures cleanliness of bar, lounge area, stock room, and equipment
  • Collects and manages customer payments
  • Maintains good communication with co-workers
  • Follows all operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training (preferred)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
  • May be subject to criminal background investigation
  • Must possess in high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines


REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.
