The Part-Time Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with local and national electrical codes. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform effective, code-compliant repairs.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Ensure all work meets NEC, local building codes, and company standards.
Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
Valid New York State electrician license or equivalent field experience.
Proven experience in commercial electrical work.
Strong understanding of NEC and Rochester-area code requirements.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with electrical work.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Part-time hours (flexible scheduling; typically 15–25 hours per week).
