Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses for billing and insurance claims

• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and/or patients
  <\/p><\/li>

• Enter, update, and maintain patient and billing data in practice management/EMR systems
  <\/p><\/li>

• Track outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid or denied accounts
  <\/p><\/li>

• Communicate with patients regarding balances, payment options, and payment plans
  <\/p><\/li>

• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA<\/b> and all applicable healthcare regulations
  <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

  Qualifications
  <\/h3>

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare -related coursework a plus
    <\/p><\/li>

  • MediClear<\/b> or equivalent HIPAA compliance credential required
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Highly organized, with strong time -management skills and attention to detail
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Ability to remain professional, patient, and calm when working with patients and insurance representatives
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with billing software or EMR systems preferred
