Job Summary

This role supports building engineers and facility operations by performing routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing ceiling tiles, and completing general work orders. The position is also responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces, including moving and arranging furniture. Additional duties include minor plumbing, small paint projects, and basic outdoor upkeep. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong physical stamina and experience using basic hand and power tools.

Maintenance & Event Set-up Technician Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Change tenant and base building light bulbs.
  • Perform ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
  • Assist engineers with general maintenance tasks.
  • Complete work orders as they are assigned.
  • Set up and take down event spaces in a corporate office.
  • Move, lift, and arrange furniture for event setups.
  • Perform small paint jobs and touchups.
  • Handle minor plumbing issues, including unclogging toilets.
  • Perform snow removal when needed.
  • Conduct outside litter pickup.
  • Use basic hand tools and select power tools (pneumatic or electric).
  • Support additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a selfstarter attitude and strong work ethic.

 

Maintenance & Event Set-up Technician Requirements:

  • Previous experience with light building maintenance.
  • Experience operating hand tools and select power tools (pneumatic or electric).
  • Successfully pass a background check, fingerprinting, and a 10-panel drug screen.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Neat and well-groomed appearance.
  • Provide a high level of courtesy and customer service.
  • Commitment to safety at all times.
  • Excellent customer service skills (e.g. courtesy, patience, understanding, etc.).
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills, including the proper use of grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • Able to walk, sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Willing to work overtime when asked or directed.
