Patient Insurance Advocate- Riverview

This hybrid position combines remote work with on-site patient interaction at a designated hospital facility. The work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Remote work will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on-site work is required every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

 Responsibilities:

• Contact patients to assess financial and medical eligibility for coverage
• Enroll patients in ACA marketplace plans and obtain required documentation
• Guide patients through the enrollment process and assist with case issues
• Perform bedside screenings when necessary
• Manage a high volume of outreach calls
• Document all activity in HealthFund Solutions, Hospital databases, and EMR systems
• Stay up to date on ACA policies, procedures and certification requirements
• Provide accurate and timely data to support reporting and tracking needs

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred
• 1-2 years related experience
• Knowledge of ACA marketplace, Medicaid, & commercial insurance      terms preferred
• Computer proficient; EMR/EHR experience preferred 
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto      insurance
• Must complete hospital medical clearance and required vaccinations
