Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Product Innovation Manager for a technology manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The product innovation manager is responsible for leading the development and enhancement of ultrasound technologies and products.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead product innovation, overseeing the development of new ultrasonic products from initial concept to product launch.

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration,
innovation and continuous learning.

• Define research goals and develop project specifications and feasibility in cooperation with
management, production, sales, and marketing staff.

• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.

• Stay abreast of technological advancements, particularly in electronics and ultrasonics, and use the knowledge to enhance and differentiate product offerings.

• Utilize project management skills to track progress, manage resources, and meet timelines and budgets for product development projects.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define product specifications that align with technical and business goals.

• Develop prototypes that validate product concepts, ensuring that performance and reliability requirements are met.

• Help define component specifications and assist with identifying suppliers.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing to transfer products from engineering to production.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout the product lifecycle.

• Drive continuous product-improvement initiatives.

• Be the local subject matter expert on ultrasound technology and applications, providing internal technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, RF
    Engineering, or similar field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product development or innovation within the electronics
    industry, with a proven track record of successful product launches. Experience should
    include at least 3 years of team management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on identifying opportunities and
    producing results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging
    stakeholders at all levels
