Role Overview
The Production Coordinator supports operational workflows within the Payment Integrity (PI) department. This role is responsible for coordinating audit production, tracking claim reviews, managing workflow queues, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and client requirements. The Production Coordinator acts as a central liaison between auditors, analysts, leadership, and clients to ensure production goals are met.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily audit production schedules for claim reviews (pre-pay and post-pay)
- Monitor workflow queues and assign inventory to auditors and analysts
- Track productivity, turnaround times, and quality metrics
- Maintain reporting dashboards and distribute daily/weekly production reports
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and client-specific guidelines
- Assist with implementation of new client projects and production ramp-ups
- Support data validation and reconciliation of claim inventory
- Coordinate issue resolution between clinical auditors, data teams, and IT
Role Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare claims, payment integrity, or medical auditing
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and healthcare billing practices
- Experience with claims platforms, audit systems, or payer systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines and commercial payer policies
