Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to manage and optimize our production materials supply chain. The Production Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing materials for production to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent time management abilities, and a deep understanding of material requirement planning.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for raw materials and components.
  • Analyze material requirements and create requisitions.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production schedules while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate with production and purchasing departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
  • Resolve supply chain-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on material and inventory management.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any supply issues promptly.
  • Implement strategies for inventory management to prevent shortages and excesses.
  • Conduct regular reviews of material demand and supply patterns to identify trends and make necessary adjustments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in materials planning, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and logistics.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier interactions.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Desired Qualities:

  • Experience operating in SAP S/4 HANA Fiori-based applications specific to Materials Management (procurement, inventory management), Production Planning (demand management, MRP, shop floor control).
  • Strong familiarity with the following SAP.
  • MRP execution and monitoring to ensure timely material availability.
  • Stock/Requirements List and Analysis - responding to supply/demand mismatches, MRP exceptions, safety stock trends.
  • Production Master data – Materials, BOMs, Routings.
  • Planned Independent Requirements.
  • Experience with purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
