Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for establishing, growing, and maintaining a strong presence within the assigned Security Sales Region. The RSM will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships which foster sales and growth for the region. The RSM must be successful in meeting and exceeding assigned quota and KPI’s.
Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 USD, depending on experience.
Commission program: $35,000 USD, annually based on performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals
- Regularly interacts with senior leaders and/or customers. Interactions frequently involve specific skills, such as negotiating with customers/management, or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
- Attend industry association events and customer trade shows as directed
- Deliver effective sales and technical training to our customers/partners
- Achieve and constantly exceed KPI’s for self and team (e.g., new customers acquisition, attachment sales, product launches, etc.)
- Required to have a strong comfort-level communicating throughout all levels of the organization
- Analyze and control expenditures of channel to conform to budgetary requirements
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Monitor and evaluate competitors’ activities and products. Provide competitive intelligence
- Work with the Technical Trainers in the territory to ensure proper training and advanced technical support for dealers
- Other duties and assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years sales experience in related channel sales management (distributors/dealers/national accounts) in the Residential or Commercial Intrusion Security space.
- Demonstrated successful sales skills core competencies and ability to formulate sales growth strategies
- Track record of growing and acquiring new business
- Exceptional negotiation, motivational, relationship-building, and client service skills
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written communication and verbal skills
- Intermediate to advanced experience in sales reporting utilizing CRM (such as. Salesforce.com), and MS Office applications required
- Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system a plus
- Flexible and adaptable, adjusts to changing priorities in fast-growth, dynamic environment
- An interest in consumer electronic products and training in technically related areas in order to best represent products and relate to the channel
- Home base within the assigned territory, with existing relationships within the territory customer base
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, goals and objectives for self
- Ability to effectively & professionally communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors
- Proven ability to meet sales goals and excel in a goal-driven environment (Sales Only)
