An established legal team is seeking a skilled Securities & Capital Markets Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its practice in Rochester or Buffalo, NY.

This role involves working with clients on public and private securities offerings and advising on compliance with federal securities laws, exchange listing requirements, and corporate governance matters. A strong background in representing issuers and underwriters is essential. Applicants should possess excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills and demonstrate a proactive approach to client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide clients through public and private capital market transactions
• Advise publicly traded companies on SEC regulations, including the 1934 Exchange Act
• Provide strategic legal counsel on corporate governance and listing compliance

Qualifications:

• J.D. and admission to the New York State Bar (or willingness to obtain)
• 4-8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a law firm setting
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment

Additional Info:

• Billable hour requirement: 1,800 annually
• Writing samples encouraged upon application (mandatory for litigation roles)
• No portable book of business required
• Candidates relocating to NY may be hired as a Law Clerk until NY Bar admission
