Location: Virginia Beach, VA    

Schedule:    

Monday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM    

Saturday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM      

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour      

Position Overview    

This position supports Property Management by helping maintain a safe, orderly, and professional residential environment. The Security Officer serves as the primary point of contact at the building during assigned shifts and is responsible for monitoring access, assisting residents and visitors, and ensuring daily security procedures are followed.    

This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, guests, and vendors.      

Primary Responsibilities    

• Act as the initial contact for residents, approved visitors, and vendors entering the building
• Verify all visitors prior to granting lobby access
• Use the intercom system to communicate with guests and coordinate entry
• Announce guests to residents when required
• Receive, sign for, and log all deliveries using BuildingLink
• Deliver packages directly to residential units as assigned
• Confirm resident approval before allowing food delivery access, delivery drivers complete food drop-offs directly
• Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure safety and proper access control
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect doors, equipment, and entry points
• Respond to alarms and request assistance when necessary
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations in written reports
• Monitor and adjust building and equipment controls when required
• Perform additional duties related to site operations as assigned by management  

Qualifications    

• Ability to interact professionally with residents and guests
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable walking the property and standing for extended periods
• Ability to follow written procedures and site instructions
