Senior Corporate Accountant (USA)

About the role

We are seeking a confident, proactive, and highly capable Finance Lead to oversee all finance operations for our growing USA office. This is a stand‑alone role, ideally suited to someone who thrives in an autonomous environment and enjoys being the trusted go‑to finance partner for a dynamic, fast‑paced team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Reporting based in Australia, you’ll be part of a 25‑person, globally distributed finance function. While you will have the support of this broader international team, you will be the primary finance representative on the ground in the USA, supporting local leadership and staff across operations, sales, and technology.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations 

• Prepare month-end management accounts for the USA office
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare sales invoices
• Manage accounts receivable, including chasing overdue receipts
• Manage corporate credit cards
• Liase with accounts payable team located in Australia for accurate recognition of expenses
• Process payroll for approx. 30 employees
• Work with the Tax Administration and Compliance Assistant, based in USA, on all USA tax related matters.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Provide training on finance related policies
• Raise purchase orders and process payments

Qualifications, Experience and Skills 

• 5 days working from the office
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with systems such as SAP or Oracle is beneficial, however not a prerequisite.
