What you’ll do?
We are seeking Level 2/3 Systems Engineers to provide after-hours technical support across our client environments. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy resolving complex IT issues, delivering high-quality customer service, and working effectively in a fast-paced support setting. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, vendors, and technical specialists to deliver reliable, responsive frontline support and ensure strong outcomes for our clients.
- Provide Level 2/3 troubleshooting and escalation support across client networks and infrastructure.
- Deliver networking support across client LAN/WAN environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks including server updates, patching, execution of standard procedures, and both pre- and post-maintenance validation.
- Create and manage tickets with accurate documentation, prioritisation, and clear technical notes.
- Provide support and troubleshooting across: Microsoft 365, Endpoint support, Application support and Networking support.
What you’ll bring?
- Demonstrated experience in an Level 2/3 Engineer Position or similar.
- Ability to configure firewall rules, including port forwarding and basic network security concepts
- Understanding of IP networking, including assigning and managing static IP addresses
- Hands-on tinkering mindset — experience building or configuring projects on platforms such as Raspberry Pi or similar
- Experience installing and configuring virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware or Hyper-V) from scratch, including home lab environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What else do you need to apply?
- Have the ability to work from home with a 24/7 hour rotating roster, including occasional weekend work.
- Individuals who can consistently cover the graveyard shift (11:00pm to 7:00pm) will have extra considerations.
- Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.
