Responsibilities
Internalize and execute content level lesson plans with fidelity and in alignment with Resurgence Hall Instructional Frameworks;
Consistently provide acceleration and support interventions for designated scholars;
Create reteach (whole and small group) plans as needed based on exit tickets, unit assessments, and projects;
Create a classroom culture of joy and urgency with high expectations for all scholars through implementation of school-wide culture systems including fidelity to the behavior management cycle, incentives, logical consequences, and logging into DeansList;
Build deep relationships with scholars, families, and staff to foster a culture of joy and community;
Continuously develop content and instructional expertise by deeply engaging in weekly professional development and 1-1 coaching with Instructional coaches;
Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and detailed records in all school-wide platforms such as PowerSchool, Illuminate and DeansList
Administer of formative and summative assessments;
Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios, progress reports, assessment files, and report cards;
Provide coverage support when required to ensure scholar learning and safety continues uninterrupted;
Communicate daily with all families regarding scholar academic and social/emotional progress through school-based applications (apps), phone, and email;
Lead and support schoolwide and grade level and content team initiatives such as Parent University Nights, Spread the Love Week, Black History Month, 100th Day of School, Awards Ceremony;
Support school wide initiatives such as weekend recruitment events, evening parent workshops, and other events with advanced notice outside of regular work week and hours;
Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Director of Culture and Instruction.

Qualifications/Certification. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in related content field and/or GA certification in related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Start Date- Immediate
Prior Experience. At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience at elementary or middle school level and a demonstrated ability to raise achievement levels of traditionally underserved students highly preferred. Sense of humility, urgency, and interest in growing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
