Shift hours: 1900p - 0700a (Night 3x12-Hour)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with various medical conditions. The RN will utilize clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in a fast-paced environment. Strong skills in cardiac monitoring and emergency response are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using Rapid Response and Code teams.
  • Administer oxygen and manage non-invasive airway interventions.
  • Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management.
  • Implement isolation precautions as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Active New York Single State RN license is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC charting is a must.
